B.A. (University of British Columbia)
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia with a major in philosophy and a minor in political science in the spring of 2012. At UBC, I had the wonderful opportunity to take courses in the multi-disciplinary Cognitive-Systems Program, which involves faculty from philosophy, psychology, computer science and linguistics. This experience has left me with strong interests in both traditional philosophy of mind and more empirically-oriented philosophy of cognitive science. In particular, I am interested in consciousness, theories of mental representation and perception – especially audition. Other areas of philosophy that interest me include philosophy of language, metaethics, political philosophy and moral psychology. Before coming to UBC, I spent many years playing in a touring band, and I still enjoy playing music in my spare time.
