My name is Gabriel Sutherland, and I am a recent graduate (April 2017) of Queen’s University, with a bachelor degree (hons.) in philosophy. I have lived in Toronto almost all of my life, with a brief stint in Australia between the ages of four and six. I have been involved in competitive athletics for most of my life, but my athletic focus now lies in training for competitive weightlifting. Although I am interested in diversifying the sectors of philosophy with which I engage, I am particularly interested in biomedical ethics, the philosophy of law (and the resulting public policy decisions), formal logic, and the philosophy of language. After my MA, I intend on pursuing either (1) a PhD in philosophy, perhaps via a joint degree, or (2) another sector-specific degree.
