Mason Robert Westfall

Biography:

I earned my B.A. in philosophy last spring from UC San Diego, with a minor in cognitive neuroscience. I am primarily interested in philosophy of mind and science, especially as both interact with contemporary research in the cognitive sciences. My undergraduate honors thesis was on the nature of attention, but I am also interested in perception, cognition, introspection, special science explanation, and myriad epistemic and metaphysical topics in the neighborhood. During my year away from academia I worked as a therapeutic companion for a four year old named Brayden. In my free time I enjoy ravenously consuming an array of pop culture (despite the occasional indigestion) and training jiu-jitsu.
