My main interest currently lies at the intersection of philosophy of language and political philosophy. I have done work in linguistic and metaphysical aspects of modality, and maintain an interest in current work in syntactic and semantic issues such as anaphora, at-issueness, pragmatics, relevance theory, and SDRT. I’m also concerned with elements of political discourse, such as slurs, dog-whistles, and propaganda. I’m from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. My B.A. is in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and my M.A. is in philosophy from Northern Illinois University.
