Sean Smith has been awarded the 2014-15 TATP Teaching Excellence Prize for teaching assistants across all divisions of the University of Toronto. This year, he is the only winner from the Humanities and Social Sciences, recognized in particular for his work in the department’s second year Introduction to Continental Philosophy course.

According to Sean, good teaching “embodies the intensity of the drill sergeant and the care of the midwife.” Tutorials and the occasional lecture were presented with clarity and wit, and Sean was warmly praised by students for his constructive feedback and his skill at engaging students in discussion.

Congratulations, Sean!
